23.09.2009 - Business and environmental study is turned into practical actions

The Venturi Institute for Environmental Studies is an organization target primarily at the production and dissemination of scientific and technical knowledge and information aimed at business and socio-environmental issues. Through its work, it seeks to understand indicators and take action on the concepts of sustainability in an integrated manner. Designed and developed by experts with academic and practical experience in Brazil and abroad, the Institute Venturi is a reference in the country. According to the director of the organization, Arminda Cezar, one of the main objectives of Venturi, since its establishment, has been to put academic knowledge into practice for the community.

For the Office Venturi Fiema be present in Brazil in 2010 two significant moments: at the 2nd Brazilian Energy, to be held alongside the fair, and experience the city, nature and the Citizen: A Look at Sustainable Development, which will be integrated with the 4th edition Project Viva Nature.

The Venturi Institute will be present at Fiema Brazil in 2010 during two significant moments: at the 2nd Brazilian Forum on Energy, to be held concurrently with the fair, and the event The City, Nature and the Citizen: a Sustainable View, which will be integrated with the 4th edition of the Viva Nature Project.

The promotion of the second edition of the Brazilian Forum on Energy during the Fiema is in line with one principle of the institute, which is to bring together separate action plans. A first the event was scheduled for September next year, but it will be anticipated as its shares the same theme, focus and interest of the fair. "It will be an important contribution. There is a culture of everyone wanting to do things by themselves. It can not be this way, says Arminda.

Consequently, the 2nd Brazilian Forum on Energy will be on April 27, 28 and 29, 2010. On one day the topic will be energy efficiency, the next , generation of energy. "A day will be devoted to training, by offering several courses, with topics that include solar energy, wind energy and methodology applied to energy efficiency," explains the director of the Venturi Institute.
