Fundação Proamb has a 20 year history of dedication to environmental issues and sustainable development, and Fiema Brasil represents one of its three business units – the other two are final residue disposal and technical environmental assistance. Through the fair, the foundation helps bring technologies and market expertise closer together, besides reinforcing its business proposal, which is to provide environmental solutions. The fair gets the most important national and international companies, institutions and agencies from various industries to work as partners in this effort. Drawing from its experience with the process of consolidating Fiema, today Proamb offers a comprehensive service package shortens the distance toward realizing their strategic vision of turning the region and the state into a hub of environmental sustainability.
Standing firmly at the forefront, the foundation has underscored that profile trait since the beginning of its history, when it was set up by a group of company owners from Bento Gonçalves (RS) that got together to look for a proper destination for the local manufacturing solid waste. The solution they found was to build a disposal center under international safety standards which at first was used only by the ones who had created it, and today is an alternative for companies all over Rio Grande do Sul to properly and reliably dispose of residues classes I and IIA.
Focused on its goal of playing an active role in sustainable development, for a little over two years Fundação Proamb has had the environmental assistance unit in its service portfolio. If on the one hand the foundation offers the option of the residue center, on the other it works to decrease the generation of manufacturing leftovers or properly reuse them, contemporary principles which are a part of sustainability and environmental management.
